CCI in itself is – in my view – based on trust. Trust in our ability to change our habits, patterns, views, way of life etc. onto an other level. In that 'practice' we discover realities we were not aware of, they enrich our lives and contribute to our well-being, physical and spiritual. Practicing this, I trust those who has been introduced in the CCI world, by people who does understand CCI's in- and outs in their way. As I do understand CCI myself in my way. That does not necessarily mean that we do understand it literally in the same way.
And possibly there is more than only cultural differences. Nevertheless we are attracted to that CCI approach. And we validate our sharing, though there are differences. What we share anyway is our trust in our personal potentialities and our togetherness in differences. Without any form of central control of anything. And we meet each other on that level.fear against trust
If we compare this with what we see in the world around us (except, possibly, the so called emotional intelligence), we observe a huge difference. This difference is, that the behaviour 'outside CCI' is in fact not based on trust, but on fear. Fear for authorities in so many ways. Fear for the boss, fear for colleagues, fear for what the neighbours might say, fear for guru's or representatives of belief systems, fear for the future, fear for whatever. And this fear acts like a booster for 'protection' of what we have now and a protection for what might come, and so much more. So the difference is trust against fear.
And fear without any respect for anything else but 'some kind of authority'. Even this fear may be caused by a suddenly upcoming thought. Most likely as a result of any impressive experience of fear in the past. And this thought may result in an invitation, to what is seen as the cause of the thought, to prove that the thought is wrong. This is not only a complicated behaviour, it is also an indecent proposal to what is seen as the cause of the thought. And it is a highly authoritarian proposal without any respect. Thoughts deserve to be examined by one self: they are one's personal possession, even if they are caused by somebody else.
This example focuses also the attention on the phenomenon of respect. Respect and trust seems to be related to each other and respect and authorities seems to be miles away from each other. Both make clear anyway, that we all just have to choose between trust and respect on the one side and fear on the other. Being aware of that choice, we choose in fact for what kind of world we want to live in. We are free to make our own choices and that may imply, that we have to choose with whom we will be close with and those who will be further away from us.
