15 March 2010
Within five month after publishing their book 'brothers do mourn as well', coordinated by Minke Weggemans – a former CCI trainer – 12 of the 27 authors of 27 stories meet for the second time (March 6, 2010). The first meeting was November 9 2009, half an hour before the introduction of their book, as reported here. There only was time for a short round of names, age, based where and title of their story. The 6 of March there was more time to spend for a more personal introduction in Baarn, close to the village Soesterberg where the last Dutch CCI Europe meeting in 2007 was. From 11 AM until 2 PM the twelve were occupied by their sharing round.
This was preceded by a short introduction of Minke, telling that the six edition of her first book 'the loss of a brother or sister' is on its way and that the second edition of the book with the stories of 38 sisters is coming. The translation in German of the first of her three books is on its way as well, and especially in scientific circles there is more attention needed for the mourning process of the loss of brothers and sisters in a family. There is a lack of money and attention in that field. This group of authors decide to use internet for their internal communication by reporting in September and February by a – in the meantime created - weblog. They will pay special attention to their personal development in this field, as well as attention for their companions in these circumstances, and the social need to find room and attention for this kind of mourning in our society.
future directed
In their personal contribution it was - anyway for me – remarkable to observe how they were directed to the future. As about 'the good feeling' after creating in words what emotionally was on top and developed within. The mutual sharing with those who have 'the same' need; the experience that sharing rounds are productive and enrich our awareness. To experience the power of starting to write on an empty piece of paper, and the acknowledgement that it is OK to perceive our feelings. The same is to become aware how meetings like this energizes each personally. In whatever way! And last but not least, to realize that wording feelings heal and honour the source of these feelings. These experiences transform the survival finally into life!
