Last weekend (June 12) we camped near the borders of the river IJssel, an about 2000 year old river in the East of the Netherlands, a tributary of the European delta river, the Rhine. We went there because the nature camping grounds are close to an old city Deventer. In the old days part of a 'harbour cooperation' with cities in North Eastern Europe.

Close to that city, and as well close to that river, we wanted to attend the commemoration and celebration on Sunday of an also to us dear CCI co-counselling trainer, Lydia Lieftinck, who passed away in December 2008. Her husband organised the meeting and presented a booklet that he created about the ten years they were together. It was a memorable meeting of family and friends of a strong, beloved and committed human being, who contributed according to her special potentialities, in a for me impressive way to CCI co-counselling.
At our campgrounds we met our Irish/Scottish CCI co-counselling friend Geoff, to reconnect, sharing our actual experiences, also about CCI. Close to our campground, so to say 'on the corner of the street', turned out to live an 'old timer' CCI trainer - recently listed on CCI World News Service – who moved rather recently from a city to the front house of a farm nearby. We informed her before hand, and she came to welcome us. We had dinner together and we met her three times sharing actual as well as 'long time ago' experiences. Impressive was for me, to see photo's of myself attending my first CCI international (European) meeting in 1985 in Ireland. And we all, Geoff, Joke, Minke and Niek will meet again at the CCI European meeting 2010 in Ireland!
