what's on top?

on topThe question 'what is on top' is a well known expression to start a personal review about the inside state of being. It also is the title of a little booklet (123 pages, almost half A5 size, about 10,5x17,5 cm, published in Great Britain 2010 by www.lulu.com, copyright by Personal Transformation) as an introduction to (CCI) co-counselling (ISBN 978-1-4457-4752-1). The authors, Steve Roche and Sue Grey, are both co-counselling trainers in the line of CCI. That means that the method of co-counselling, as it has transformed the last 35 years, is without any authority but the practitioners personal responsibility. This implicates that this CCI process rules along it's special pre-conditions.
So it tells 'what it is', why it is needed, how it does help, is it for me? What is the culture, how do I learn it; can I do it at work? And very practical, what happens in a session, where did it come from, personal experiences, conclusion and further information. It is a handsome booklet and in several – if not most – and sometimes more personal approaches and wordings, this information can nowadays already be found on internet.

Obvious is, that the CCI co-counselling process in this booklet, is not seen as such with its pre conditions to run. Though they are necessary and called more like framework to be properly run in an effective way for you. The booklet makes very clear how to assist yourself (and others) in handling your emotions in your and their personal most effective way.
One aspect of the whole process is not mentioned in the booklet though it is in my personal view in some way or another, part of everyone's live. That is about 'the unseen', one's belief system, the human spirituality or whatever name you want to use, I did not find any possible part of the answer on questions like 'where do I come from', 'where am I going to', or the influence of how lonely we in fact are and how sharing evolves into accepting that reality. In other words, the inter personal part that is so essential into human being. And so it is about 'something' in between us and discovering the appearance of other connections than what we observe and accept as reality by our rational brains. In this booklet co-counselling is very much a rational happening and in my view it is far more a gateway for discovering the in between en the beyond!

a validation for you
