incarnation

After registration and welcoming by the members of the welcoming committee (a.o. Joke and Niek) of the participants of the CCI-USA 2010 meeting, there was dinner at 5.30 pm on Tuesday April 20. The newcomers orientation after dinner for those (8) who attend a CCI residential meeting for several days for their first time, is facilitated by Dency and Joke. During this orientation the energy in their working space, switches visible, by becoming aware that it is by practicing less scary than it may look before. Several of them anyway take the advise, later that evening and joined by others, to invite and to join a buddy for the coming days.

sharing

The opening of the meeting that same evening at 07.20 till 10.30 pm by Lizz Duf and Ann Aurelia Jarvis was absolutely great and colourful!. Than we have chosen buddies, the support groups were formed, we did mini's and we learned the flow of the next days: a daily opening circle after early morning meetings and breakfast, from 8.45 – 10.15 am, with a community sharing, a post box, announcements, also about the day workshop offerings and where – even for last minutes workshops - without explanations. In the afternoon, after the noon workshops from 1.45 – 4.15 pm, and in the same room as the openings circle of the day, again a circle to inform the participants about the next days workshops with explanation from 4.45 – 5.15 pm. After dinner were the support group meetings planned from 6.45 – 8.15 pm before evening activities from 8.30 –11.00 pm. This approach worked very well and gave the opening circle another flavour of togetherness.

Wednesday

So Wednesday morning Gilli (UK) and Peter (USA) facilitate the opening circle of the day, followed by the first meeting or intro of the support groups. In this intro (of about three support groups together) each of them answered a range of prepared questions to answer in their own way. The afternoon workshops were 'homing your interventions skills / reviewing, practicing, reconceptualising by Fred and Cathy; imaginal dialogue on puzzling challenges by Jenny; co-counselling @ the speed of light by Meredith and in the evening Karaoke by Terri Doyle.

Thursday

facilitating

Thursday morning Joke, Niek (both of the Netherlands) and Shayla (Australia) facilitate the opening circle of the day. After the sharing from different countries Niek shared news from the world community by celebrating the tenth years celebration of CCI World News Service (CCIWNS). He mentioned a simultaneously born idea in Australia, of Shayla Malek, and the Netherlands (Joke and Niek) to revise CCIWNS and invited Dency Sargent to introduce the reborn website (see re-introduction). After that Joke introduced the first performance of CCI the movie that afternoon and invited the players in that movie to step forward to receive a special ticket for that premiere. All others were invited to attend that happening at 1.15pm.
Scheduled for the morning workshops were: Am I really over the hill? by Golda, and Express yourself, by Bernice and Crisis-getting through it for yourself or a loved one, by Janice and Anne B. At 1.15 pm the celebrating meeting CCI movie by Joke, Niek and Shayla. Afternoon offers were: living your life mission by Anne B. and Terri Doyle, your colour on the outside by Beth Barclay and Gaia Kile, and in the evening are these your true colours? a face painting workshop by Joke, 5 rhythms by Judy and PowerPoint slides from our last Fundamentals in Scotland by Rose and Richard.

Friday

announcmentsFriday started with a 12 steps meeting and an opening circle facilitated by Jim, Janice and Gaia with a healthy Chinese exercise and community sharing. On suggestion of Corrie we visualised the Hungarian CCI banner on the wall, not arrived because of the volcano eruption, as a special gift in 1989 to CCI. Joke reminded on the ODWS meeting in Budapest this summer. About creating the day together' in the morning opening circle, there was some confusion, and a mini needed before the solution was accepted that only the workshop item, the time and the place would be announced in the morning circle (also for the last minute workshops).
The morning workshops were: You have one hour to live! by John and How the past holts the key to your future financial independence by Harvey, a Basic Basics by Fred and a Shamanic Journey by Anne B. In the afternoon the business meeting and in the evening a very alive auction!.

Saturday

Saturday Skip and Suzanne facilitated the opening circle after the early morning 12 steps meeting, and the community sharing was about communities in California, North Carolina, West Hartford, the Netherlands, New Haven and a request of the editor of the CCI-USA newsletter Carol Driscoll to receive contributions for the next edition.
That morning, the Strategic Planning Committee met to plan and propose goals for 2010 and 2011, the Presence Process was facilitated by Marc, Express yourself (2) by Bernice, and what is discharge by Richard. In the afternoon Fred facilitated a you tube CCI video workshop, and dances from different countries by Alan. 'What comes out of your mouth gives you your life. Are you living in Í can't', Í don't know how', or any conversation that keeps you safe but stuck, co-counselling in triads! by Jlynn. And 'what keeps me stuck in the past, how do I change this pattern + let go' by Rob.
