CCI basics
Goal of a CCI basic training is to get used to the way of working in pairs – each for equal timeslots -, as worker (outside – and also inside CCI called 'client') and as co-worker (outside CCI – and inside called co-) counsellor. And this with somebody you may never have met before. At the same time it is utmost instructive to experience for yourself the power of the CCI techniques. A CCI basic training, also well known as fundamental training, takes 60 hours. And may be facilitated by one and often two so called CCI trainers for 2 long weekend, or 16 evening meetings, or every timing in between and all together 60 hours, according to the availability of trainer(s) and their trainees.
The CCI fundamental training is directed to support the worker; it is not a course for learning how to help others as counsellor. Experiencing one self how powerful these techniques (like repetition and others) are in the CCI setting, is the best way to learn to support 'the other one' taking the role of worker while you are witnessing their work. Essential for CCI is that worker and co-worker does know exactly and by own experience, the value of those techniques. Also in that way of knowledge, they are equal. And the worker is self responsible while the co-worker gives aware, non judgemental and respectful attention during that work. The mutual commitment to honour in every way and for ever, the confidentiality about the content of the work of the worker, secures that they can word what ever they need to say.
